Fran Rossi Szpylczyn, MA, is the editor and founder of this blog. She has been blogging here since 2007 and is an active user and proponent of social media ministry.

Fran is a parishioner here and works at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies from St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry. In addition, Fran has been published in numerous publications, such as the Albany Times Union, the Evangelist, and the National Catholic Reporter. Her writing has been featured in the award winning compilation, Hungry and You Fed Me: Homilies and Reflections for Cycle C from Clear Faith Publishing.

Fran lives in Clifton Park with her husband Mark and stepdaughter Erica.

G. Peter Avvento, STD, is the Director of Religious Education at St. Edward the Confessor. Prior to this, he was the Director of our diocesan Amazing God initiative. Peter has an STD in Moral Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University, as well as several other advanced degrees from Rome and elsewhere. Peter is a well known and popular speaker with a tremendous passion for sharing the gifts of our faith with others.
